I've gone and done it.....

Well I've gone and done it....and now the waiting game.  I've applied for the volunteer position at Voyageur's National Park Service for the 2011 Summer Season.  This opportunity is beneficial in two ways: 1.) I'm looking for that career change.  Business and free enterprise just doesn't make my heart pitter-patter like I always thought it would.  Hard work, dedication, and quality work were supposed to open all these doors of opportunity, well guess what those doors belong to foreclosed homes, bankrupt business, and a crashing economy. AWESOME!  So then I ask myself...for what? for why? for who?  So I'm gonna strive to live that life I've always imagined...or never thought was possible but hey I'm game to try anything once! 2.)  It is a volunteer position.  I will not be working for a means, I will be working to learn new things, meet new people, and enjoy the outdoors.  I can for sure get down with that!  I think I'll reap a lot of other benefits from the experience should all the stars align.  I'll probably learn a lot about myself, deprogram from "normal" society, become less materialistic, more focused on God and his creations.

That's another thing, the other very important thing...this is all up to God.  I need to focus on Him, and take His lead.  He knows my plan.  I ask those of you know me and those of you who don't to pray for me; pray for me to have the knowledge, the patience, and the willingness to wait for His answer and follow His lead.
